Q. This is my first time what should I expect?
A. Everyone has a first time; at MAHESO you will be greeted by a member of the guest committee when you arrive who will help you feel very comfortable and relaxed. No pressure and no stress makes for an enjoyable experience.
Q. Do I have to disrobe right away?
A. No we are a clothing optional club, you can take your time with your own comfort level. The only place that disrobing is required is in the swimming pool. Skinny dipping is much healthier for you. It also keeps the fibers of swimsuits from clogging up the pool filter LOL.
Q. What if I am shy or concerned about how I look?
A. Here at MAHESO our core value is “total acceptance” - no one will judge anyone. It’s all about boosting your self-confidence and self-esteem with who you are.
Q. What should I bring with me when I visit?
A. Bring an open mind with the concept of relaxation. This is the place when you arrive at the gate where you get to leave all the daily stress and worries right there or if you want, put them in the dumpster outside of the gate LOL. Bring a towel and whatever food or beverages you wish. Sunscreen and bug spray are always recommended and if you like to read bring a book. This is a great place to study for any classes you are taking. Bring a good pair of walking shoes if you like to hike our trails and anything else that will help with your well-being.
Q. Can I bring my dog with me?
A. Yes; however all pets must be well behaved and kept on a leash. Make sure to clean up after your pet.
Q. Are kids welcome?
A. Of course - we are a family oriented resort. Kids love it here. Children are the future and developing their social skills and teaching them healthy living is the key. So get them out from behind the electronic devices and let them experience the natural world. Besides kids run around your house without any clothes on anyway.
Q. I like to meditate in peace and quiet can I do it there?
A. You sure can! We have 98 acres of pristine woods with a stream that runs through the property down to the Patuxent river. We have a lot of places you can go and find peace and quiet.
Q. Are cameras allowed?
A. No. We do not allow any photographic or video equipment to be used in the common areas! Such use will not be tolerated and anyone found using any of these devices in the common areas will be barred from MAHESO and reported to the local authorities.
Q. Other places allow sexual activity in public - does this happen here?
A. NO! Overt sexual behavior is not allowed at all in public.
Q. Will I feel safe at MAHESO?
A. Yes. We do not condone any violence, harassment, questionable conduct with children or any other behavior that offends or embarrasses others.
Q. Does MAHESO offer discounts for large groups?
A. Yes we do. This is a great place for large groups to host their own event whether it be a conference, retreat or a club weekend take-over.
Q. This is on my Bucket List but I need some more convincing to take that first step what do I do?
A. Every decision in life requires that first step, the sad thing is many people don’t try something only to regret it later in life. How many times have you said to yourself this is so cool I wish I had done this sooner?

A: The answer is a resounding YES! The Roper Organization reported that some 40 million Americans have skinny-dipped in mixed company. For people who want to recapture the freedom and innocence of that experience this is the Best Place to be naturally.
Q: What are the characteristics of an AANR club?
A: The atmosphere of an AANR club is wholesome and friendly. People who enjoy nude recreation distinguish between nudity and sex and keep the two in their proper perspective. Clubs are careful about who enters their facility and if anyone seems to be there for the wrong reason, they will be asked to leave. Club activities include swimming, walking, hiking, volleyball, cycling, theme parties, special events, and the opportunity to meet a wide variety of people, diverse in age, profession, and culture.
